Fall is no exception here at Clarity HQ, and along with these sentiments we are also welcoming a new beginning here at Clarity – the launch of our partnership with RaisedBy.Us!
What is RaisedBy.Us?
RaisedBy is a not-for-profit organization that enables social good through employee giving programs, volunteerism and community events ー and more. From gifting drives to service opportunities, social events co-service days with other companies in the program, RaisedBy helps us build programming that adds to our culture and our lives.
Why is the purpose of this partnership?
This past year we have been developing our #ClarityCares programming, and sought to expand our efforts. We pride ourselves for prioritizing giving back to our community, and sought out a way to integrate giving more deeply into #lifeatclarity. While we have historically participated in #claritycares days of service and volunteered with organizations such as New York Cares, Futures and Options and Habitat for Humanity, RaisedBy offers a great service that connects us with unique opportunities that are values-aligned with our mission, and helps us identify organizations we may not have otherwise known. This is why we’ve decided to join forces!
Here are a few recent RaisedBy collabs we’ve participated in:
DayMaker Back to School Supply Drive
Our initial giving campaign was with with DayMaker ー a non-profit that facilitates personalized giving campaigns for school children from underserved communities across the US. We loved being introduced to DayMaker by RaisedBy, and Team Clarity had one of the highest participation rates of all corporate partners that joined the drive! This was particularly meaningful because we got to learn specific information about the children we helped, and got updates on gift fulfillment each step of the way. Daymaker makes giving as simple as making a purchase on Amazon!
Official RaisedBy Launch!
Internally, here at Clarity we have a programming series called Clarity U. This is a monthly session where we host a monthly “class” on a pertinent recruiting or industry topic, or in this case, a refresher course on something important to Clarity’s core ー our values! Clarity, Humanity + Purpose are our guiding tenets which inform all that we do, and part of the latter, “Purpose” entails helping people in any way we canー including through community service. For this session, we invited Matt Amalfitano, RaisedBy’s Executive Director and CEO, along with Kelty Niles, Director of Partner Success to walk our team through what’s to come in our partnership and help generate excitement. It was a great success!
Tech Gives Back Day of Service
Most recently, 6 of us joined Tech Gives Back, a national service day sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank in partnership with RaisedBy (among other corporate partners), and took a half day to volunteer with the Ali Forney Center, where we helped clean up a transitional housing unit. We used our elbow grease and sharpened our cleaning skills while meeting great people from other partner companies as well. A great day all around, and extra-meaningful to be part of a nation wide event centered around activating the tech community and encouraging service.
We’re looking forward to more great opportunities thanks to RaisedBy, and especially their upcoming Gala in Manhattan to celebrate their expanding community and the art and act of service!
