Admins are More Important than Ever
Administrative professionals are the lifeblood of so many of our clients’ teams, and our own. They keep things moving, keep people aligned, and make the day-to-day work actually work. We hope you’re taking a moment to recognize yours today, on Admin Professionals Day!
Since 2000, identifying talented admin professionals has been a core speciality area at Clarity. From high-level executive assistants to coordinators, admin roles have evolved in an incredible way over the last several years. Many of today’s admins are managing communication, coordinating projects, and partnering closely with leadership to keep priorities clear and execution on track; strong admins are true right hands to the executives they support. In many cases, these high-visibility roles are the difference between a team that feels scattered and one that runs smoothly. We know because we place them every day, and see their impact. An Executive Assistant typically saves at minimum 8-10 hours a week for their executives, afterall.

As AI becomes more integrated into the workplace, our take is that the impact of admins is only growing. New tools can help with scheduling, note-taking, and routine tasks, sure. But they can’t replace human judgment, discretion, or the ability to manage competing priorities and know when to switch gears when an unexpected priority emerges. Many admin roles, especially executive support positions, are shifting toward higher-level thinking and decision support. Someone who can truly be the human in the room and decide what’s really streamlining an executive’s world, vs adding additional or unnecessary layers ー AI tool fatigue is real!
