Why Women in Leadership Matter | International Women’s Day ’26

A note from our CEO, Moira Dorst, in observation of International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is approaching [March 9, 2026], and each year it offers an opportunity to recognize the achievements of women around the world and reflect on the progress still to be made toward equity. Across industries and geographies, one thing is increasingly clear: organizations benefit when women are represented in leadership. A growing body of research—from organizations including McKinsey and Boston Consulting Group—shows that companies with more diverse leadership teams often outperform their peers, drive stronger innovation, and make better strategic decisions.

Beyond the data, there is also a broader impact. Leadership that reflects a wider range of perspectives helps create workplaces where more people can contribute ideas and succeed. Supporting women in leadership isn’t just about representation, it’s about building organizations that are thoughtful, innovative, and resilient.

The Role of Thoughtful Hiring

Progress toward more balanced leadership teams often begins with intentional hiring decisions. Teams with diverse experiences and perspectives tend to evaluate challenges more comprehensively and generate more creative solutions. This is an important advantage in today’s fast-moving business environment. The right recruitment partner can help support this by building broader talent pipelines and ensuring companies consider the widest possible pool of qualified candidates.

At Clarity & Cleartech, we partner with organizations across a range of hiring needs, including administrative and executive support, finance and operations leadership, technology and product roles, creative talent, and temporary or project-based staffing. Across each of these areas, we help clients access exceptional talent they may not otherwise reach through our own vast and diverse networks.

International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress is built through intentional decisions, thoughtful leadership, and organizations that invest in people. When companies create pathways for talented women not only to be hired but to grow and lead, the impact extends far beyond individual careers, strengthening teams, organizations, and the communities they serve.
