As MLK Day Approaches, a National Day of Service, we’re reflecting on our core values. Team Clarity takes a purpose-driven approach to recruitment, to business at large, and to helping our communities thrive. Purpose is one of core values alongside clarity and humanity, and here’s a spotlight on what *purpose* means to our Team.
Purpose: We care about people, and we believe all people deserve access to resources that can help them build their dream team, or become a part of one. Our purpose is to be one of these resources for as many people as possible.
To activate this value, we simply can’t sit at our desks all day! Our purpose transcends our office doors and remote working nooks wherever we are located. This helps us perform our jobs better when we’re at work. We’ve reimagined with this means with many employees working remotely, but we remain passionate about giving our time and driving awareness to important causes, and serve surrounding communities. Our goal is for more people to gain access to resources that fuel their success. By giving back to our community through volunteer service and coordinated giving, we are able to live out our purpose of helping those around us not only find meaningful work, but get support that’s needed to thrive in times of need. This helps us continually promote a culture of understanding and inclusion. Beginning in 2019, we’ve made it even easier for our Team to do so by adding flexible service options as a benefit for all employees, and paid time off to volunteer at an organization of their choosing.
One of our longest running service partners remains Futures and Options:
Clarity has hosted annual “Career Exploration” field trips for highschool students that are enrolled in Futures and Options right here in our NY HQ, as well as volunteered as mock-interviewers to sharpen their interviewing skills. Their Career Essentials programming provides career readiness training to students who have not yet reached the skill level ーor age ー to be placed in internship positions at leading businesses, but who aspire toward that goal. Futures and Options’ engaging, interactive workshops help students learn to sharpen public speaking, time management, goal setting, and interviewing skills.
By partnering with New York’s business community, Futures and Options opens doors for underserved youth to build meaningful professional careers. It also encourages skills-building for in-person and face-to-face communication — with real humans! — that informs they way we work. Learn more here.
We have also partnered with Habitat for Humanity for builds, and New York Cares for Team-Wide Days of Service through their organizations. We’ve also hosted coat drives and voted on organizations of meaning to our Team to support on behalf of our clients — in lieu of holiday gifts.
Other causes we have supported recently include:
Most recently, to support our colleagues and community in Los Angeles, we ran a fundraiser for
