Happy Pride Month!
At Clarity, we support the LGBTQ+ members of our community and practice inclusion all year round, but we also love to see this vibrant community come alive during Pride Month. We consider June a great time to recognize and spread the good word about what some of our inspiring clients are working on to celebrate Pride. We pulled together a few NYC highlights that our greater community can join in on including events, celebrations and fundraising opportunities coming up this week and next ー did we mention they include comedy shows and even a silent disco?
We hope you’re having a joy-filled and safe pride month and that we’ll see you out there supporting these amazing organizations we’re fortunate to call our client partners. We’d love to hear more about how you and your company are celebrating Pride as well, so let’s get in touch!
The Center – The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center
This year, The Center is celebrating Pride Month with a theme, Forward Together. As the LGBTQ+ community faces an onslaught of anti-gay, anti-trans, anti-women, and racist legislation, The Center is a safe space for celebration, healing, advocacy and joy. Long considered a heart and home for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers, The Center -as it’s known- was established in 1983 at the height of the AIDS crisis to provide a safe and affirming place for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers to respond to the urgent threats facing the community. Over the past 40 years, The Center has grown to meet the changing needs of New York’s LGBTQ+ community, delivering services that empower people to lead healthy, successful lives.

Athlete Ally’s mission is to end homophobia and transphobia in sport and to activate the athletic community to exercise their leadership to champion LGBTQI+ equality. Learn more about Athlete Ally here, and consider joining their Pride fundraising campaign. You could also start your own fundraising team and join their Play for Pride fundraising initiative, outlined below.
Why should you “Play for Pride”? Athlete Ally sees a future of sport that is free of homophobia and transphobia. This future is only achieved if, together, we build the world’s largest team. Through this initiative, you can join the overall fundraising campaign or launch your own team to rally your own community to support this mission.
Funds raised will contribute to Athlete Ally’s unique ability to navigate the attacks on the LGBTQI+ sporting community during an increasingly critical time, and sustain their programs so they are free & accessible to those that need them the most.
Another way to support their mission is to stock up on merch and refine your Pride party ‘fits with some branded swag from their shop ー Access the line here.
