Interview Tip
Understand how your skills correlate to a business outcome and have some success stories ready to share. The skills and experience on your resume will get you to the interview stage, but it’s your ability to demonstrate how those skills and experiences will lead to the business outcome the organization is hoping to achieve that will get you hired. Being able to communicate how your skills – whether they include writing code, planning budgets, testing software, or providing technical support fit into the bigger picture of organizational success will set you apart from other candidates and allow the interviewer to visualize the value you offer as a candidate.
