Serena Bartolucci Rubino

Director of Communications
Since 2007, Serena's career has sat at the intersection of recruiting and communications. With well over a decade of professional experience in NYC, Serena began her career in recruiting right after graduating from Dickinson College. After several years in recruiting –first on the agency side and then in-house at a large media company– Serena segued into PR and communications. She has held roles at L’Oreal, Group SJR, and Brew Media Relations, which sharpened her skills as a service-oriented communications strategist. Her unique blend of experience provided exposure to a wide range of company cultures – an element she finds to be of utmost importance while job-searching! Serena returned to the recruiting industry in 2015 and joined Team Clarity to pursue her true passions for helping people navigate their career paths, examining corporate cultures and building better teams. In 2018, Serena was named Director of Communications where she is applying her strengths to support Clarity's continued growth. She is now dedicated to the development and execution of strategic communications, marketing and thought-leadership initiatives, and managing partnerships. Serena also keeps a pulse on recruiting trends, and is the editor-in-chief of The Watercooler. In her spare time, Serena enjoys exploring Brooklyn - especially Prospect Park. You'll also find her traveling, taking cooking lessons from her husband, and spending time with her daughter. Serena is a Qualified Diversity Recruiter [QDR], certified through JTC - Jenn Tardy Consulting. Interview Tip Your work history is a story, and compelling storytelling is the key to building relationships -- especially in an interview.
