Senior Analytics Engineer
We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to build and scale the data foundation that drives business decisions across a rapidly growing health technology company. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics, partnering closely with engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams to transform complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is passionate about building reliable data models, enabling self-service analytics, and delivering high-quality reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data models, semantic layers, and analytics solutions that transform complex data into actionable business insights
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools that provide accurate, timely, and accessible data across the organization
- Partner with data engineering teams to develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines, data workflows, and reporting infrastructure
- Improve data quality, performance, governance, and documentation while ensuring reporting accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define reporting requirements, investigate trends, and support data-driven decision-making
- Develop custom reports, perform ad hoc analyses, and identify opportunities to improve analytics processes and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases, data warehouses, and analytical data models
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing and optimizing complex queries
- Experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and business intelligence solutions
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data warehouse architecture, and data governance best practices
- Experience with business intelligence platforms and dashboard development
- Proficiency with Python or JavaScript for reporting, automation, or data analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience within healthcare, health technology, or healthcare claims analytics is preferred
- Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus
