Junior AI Specialist
Responsibilities:AI Pilots & Workflow Support
- Observe and document legal and business workflows and identify opportunities for practical AI applications.
- Develop, test, and refine prompts for common legal and business use cases.
- Support evaluations and pilot programs for approved generative AI and legal technology platforms.
- Document test cases, results, approved use cases, limitations, and user feedback.
- Assist with the development and testing of AI-supported workflows for areas such as contract review, legal research, matter intake, billing, document management, and compliance.
- Assist with the development and testing of lightweight AI applications, agents, and workflow automation tools.
- Support senior team members with low-code/no-code and AI-assisted development platforms.
- Document functionality, limitations, and intended use cases for internal stakeholders.
- Gather user feedback and help improve AI tools and workflows.
- Assist with project plans, timelines, meeting notes, action items, status updates, and pilot tracking.
- Coordinate with attorneys, professional staff, IT, Information Security, and technology vendors.
- Follow established policies regarding confidentiality, privacy, access controls, and secure use of AI tools.
- Escalate technical, security, or workflow concerns as appropriate.
- Provide day-to-day AI support to attorneys and business professionals and escalate more complex questions.
- Assist with demonstrations, office hours, practice-group training, and user-support sessions.
- Create and maintain quick-start guides, FAQs, sample prompts, training materials, screenshots, checklists, and other knowledge resources.
- Provide one-on-one guidance on AI workflows, prompting, databases, content organization, and related legal technology processes.
- Support firm-wide AI innovation events, including logistics, materials, participation tracking, and follow-up.
- Organize and maintain content supporting teams, matters, and practice groups.
- Support approval workflows and user permissions in accordance with firm policies.
- Help maintain AI-enabled databases and knowledge bases, including organizing content from document management systems for accurate retrieval and use with legal AI tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required; 1–2 years of post-college experience preferred.
- Foundational experience using generative AI tools, developing or testing prompts, documenting workflows, or supporting technology-enabled projects.
- Strong comfort level with common productivity and AI tools and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain basic AI concepts clearly and professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Interest in generative AI, legal technology, and responsible technology adoption.
- Experience in a law firm, legal services, professional services, or other confidential business environment.
- Familiarity with legal technology, knowledge management, document management, or legal research platforms such as iManage, Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting training, user enablement, change adoption, or technology documentation.
- Exposure to low-code/no-code platforms, data tools, or AI-assisted development.
- Full-time, non-exempt position based in New York, NY
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays required; 2 days remote
- Overtime above 35 hours may be required based on business needs
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Salary: $80,000–$110,000
