Commercial Portfolio Analyst
We are seeking a Commercial Asset Management / Portfolio Analyst to support the management of a diverse commercial real estate portfolio. Working closely with Portfolio Managers and Asset Managers, this role provides exposure to all aspects of commercial asset management, including financial analysis, portfolio reporting, leasing, capital projects, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced investment management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial analyses, portfolio reporting, and client presentations, including quarterly reports, business plans, hold/sell analyses, and investment performance metrics
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate asset performance, cash flow, valuations, leasing activity, and capital investments
- Monitor market conditions, leasing trends, and portfolio performance to support asset management and investment strategies
- Support operating, leasing, and capital improvement initiatives by tracking budgets, project progress, and financial results
- Prepare materials for client meetings and collaborate with portfolio managers, asset managers, leasing teams, and third-party partners on strategic initiatives
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and operational reporting, including lease reviews, CAM reconciliations, lease abstracting, and portfolio analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial real estate, investment management, development, investment banking, or corporate finance
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate asset management and investment analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience building complex financial models from scratch
- Experience with ARGUS required; Yardi experience preferred
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
