• Contribute to the month-end/year-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts in a timely manner
• Analyze financials for discrepancies, coding errors and other issues
• Assist with ERP implementation, set-up, and on-going maintenance
• Assist with the maintenance of internal books and records
• Support the Controller with annual audit requests
• Maintain procedure manuals and checklists for all assigned functions
• Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements
• Serve as a backup for other accounting functions and support other departments with reporting needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of recent general ledger and reconciliation experience
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
• General knowledge of databases and information systems

Additional skills/experience that will reflect favorably

• Experience with a modern cloud-based accounting system such as Acumatica or Netsuite
• Broker-dealer or financial services background
• Experience with multi-entity organizations
• Experience working with multiple currencies/foreign exchange
