Global Asset Manager is hiring a an analyst to focus on emerging markets debt allocation and strategy with a focus on sovereign issuers. The candidate will contribute to the fixed income team’s thought leadership and market awareness by working with the firm’s sales teams, consultants, and plan sponsors. Strong quantitative, analytical, critical thinking, communication, presentation, and financial modeling abilities are a must.

Responsibilities

• Work under the senior sovereign strategist to identify and research economic trends across a broad array of emerging market countries

• Monitor and manage team models which capture macroeconomic trends

• Perform foreign currency and interest rate analysis as part of local markets strategy

• Work in close collaboration with portfolio managers, traders, and other credit research analysts to provide thorough credit opinions and actionable trading recommendations

• Build solid internal relationships and partnerships with the fixed income team and Schroders’ marketing and sales teams

• Create marketing materials in response to client inquiries on country macroeconomic trends

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with focus on international economics

Preferred Qualifications

• MA economics

• Highly motivated by new business opportunities

• Detailed knowledge and ability with MS Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to collaboratively share ideas and insights with portfolio managers, traders, and fellow analysts

• Excellent verbal and written skills for presentations and writing thought leadership article
