HR Specialist
Our client, a prestigious strategy consulting firm, is hiring an HR Specialist in their Atlanta office. The primary focus is to work with the HR team to manage the recruitment process, onboarding functions, and performance development program. You will also serve as the Team Lead for incoming support staff by managing day-to-day employment matters, performance management, and overall program management.

Responsibilities and Duties:
HR Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruiting and hiring process for all non-exempt and temporary staff for local employees
- Work with hiring managers to identify need, train hiring managers on interviewing skills and determine sourcing strategy for each open position
- Establish and maintain on-going relationships with employment agencies; negotiate contracts with agencies for best possible fee structure
- Key contact for internal applicants; manage internal posting and employee referral programs
- Screen and recommend candidates to hiring managers and extend offers
- Develop and work with HR Manager to implement local training program working closely with the management team to conduct needs analyses; manage and maintain mentor and colleague programs
- Manage onboarding processes for all new hires including:
- Organizing first day schedules, sending welcome emails, coordination with various departments for background checks and workday profile set up
- Prepare for and meet with new hires on day one to provide local office information background checks, payment processing, new hire orientation and paperwork
- Manage the annual performance review process for staff including setting review calendar, drafting and sending out communications, administering the process through workday and partnering with Management on recommendations, ratings and preparing for the compensation review meeting
Program Management/Team Lead for Support Staff:
- Manage day-to-day program activities, by demonstrating leadership; leading performance management process; compiling agenda for team meetings and facilitating group discussions
- Oversee various integration activities for new hires: coordinate orientation, develop training schedules, and assignment of colleagues
- Approve and contribute to semi-annual reviews; recommend ratings and annual performance bonus amounts and merit increases to HR Manager
- Identify training/professional development needs of EA/AA groups
- Recruit and hire EA and AA staff; establish and maintain on-going relationships with employment agencies
- Partner with Sr. Coordinator and Director, HR/Ops on EA/AA + Partner and Manager alignment
- When appropriate, oversee performance management process, reassignment or termination of employees, with guidance from HR Manager
- Handle and resolve all Employee Relations issues for the EA/AA team, with guidance and involvement as necessary from Director, HR/Ops
Qualifications:
- BA required with a focus on business, management or human resources preferred
- 5-7 years’ related work experience. Supervisory experience required and HR experience preferred.
- Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint required
- Previous use of HRIS systems preferred
