Our client, a unique NYC-based product development consulting company for independent and emerging designers, is seeking a Production Manager to join their team! This is a temp-to-perm role. This is an excellent opportunity -with permanent potential- for an experienced and detail-oriented candidate.

Job Description:
- 5-10 years’ experience in fashion product development and production
- Will be working with their clients that are emerging designers, start-ups, independent designers, etc. to help them create their brand
- Must have high level communication skills, great attention to detail, and strong follow up skills
- Will manage the product lifecycle process from development to bulk, ensuring timely execution of calendar deliverables to meet deadlines and goals.
- Must be a strong problem solver with the ability to influence cross functional and global partners.
- Position will be both vendor and client facing so candidate will need to bend and flex accordingly
- Administrative follow up and exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills within a small business environment
- Work with the company founder on sourcing strategy, production planning and target costing for all client brands
- Responsible for the follow through of the approval process from completed BOM handoff from design, color, and components approvals, fit approvals, pre-production, and TOPs as well as managing PPS, SMS, and TOP samples.
- Generate and manage client Time & Action calendars. Ensure timely delivery of all components (fabric, trim, etc.) in accordance with T&A.
- Knowledge of cost components, managing a cost log and ability to drive margin.
- Work with QC team and factories to resolve any production issues that arise.
- Experience communicating with factories and vendors and taking initiatives
- Must have strong writing and verbal skills
- Adept at managing many brands at a time but with smaller SKUs
- They work on about 10 different brands a year all for different levels and styles
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel (Expert), PowerPoint
- Will be responsible for generating and managing all client T&A calendars, cost logs and WIP reports
- Will be communicating directly with clients on the production process and updates so it will also require good customer service skills
