Director of Human Resources

Our client, a software company is seeking a Director of HR. This is a remote position but the company is based in NYC.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with management and team leads to recruit new employees for roles across the organization.
  • Implementing and improving workflows for employee onboarding and training.
  • Serving as a thought partner by staying current on internal and external HR best practices; recommending principles and solutions to improve our operating model.
  • Assisting with bi-weekly payroll procedures through Paychex.
  • Driving and executing key HR processes and initiatives which include compensation reviews, employee relations, benefits performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Owning performance improvement plans, benefits, HR, payroll, onboarding and off-boarding.
  • Developing strategic plans to evaluate and improve the employee experience for remote and in-office staff.
  • Driving key HR initiatives defined by the leadership team for building strong relationships.
  • Planning company events for employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, other relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in human resources.
  • Must be a people-driven individual that can work with others from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, New York state, and local New York employment law, administration of leaves of absences, ADA, accommodations, constructive counseling and best practices related to internal investigations.
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
