Human Resources Advisor
Our client, a global organization with operations across North America, is seeking an experienced Senior People Advisor to serve as a key HR partner to employees and business leaders throughout the region. This is a broad, hands-on HR role spanning employee relations, compliance, performance management, employee engagement, talent initiatives, and day-to-day people operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong HR generalist experience, sound judgment, and the ability to balance strategic partnership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and HR best practices.
- Partner with business leaders and global HR teams to implement talent programs, learning and development initiatives, and broader people strategies across North America.
- Manage key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee communications.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, while supporting investigations, grievances, and risk management matters.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring initiatives, workforce planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead local employee engagement, retention, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Support leadership coaching, employee development, succession planning, and performance management processes.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners on benefits, immigration, mobility, and other employment-related matters.
- Maintain accurate employee records and leverage HR systems and reporting to support effective decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally within a complex or global organization.
- Strong HR generalist background with experience across employee relations, compliance, performance management, talent development, and people operations.
- Strong knowledge of North American employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, coaching, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to confidently advise employees and leaders at all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, Paycom, or similar systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; additional language skills are a plus.
Compensation & Schedule
This is a full-time, permanent position based in North America. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
