A growing renovation technology platform is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager to help maintain financial visibility and operational discipline as the business continues to scale. This role will oversee core accounting functions, support financial planning initiatives, and help ensure the company operates with strong financial controls and clear reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, process-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function, including monthly and quarterly close processes

• Track financial performance against budget and support reporting initiatives

• Evaluate existing accounting processes and implement improvements or automation to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate transaction categorization

• Monitor expenses and identify unexpected cost trends or variances

• Support treasury operations, helping ensure operating and investment accounts are appropriately funded

• Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives

• Contribute to annual planning processes and support future fundraising efforts

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in an accounting role

• CPA required

• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel

• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable accounting standards

• Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert while prioritizing high-impact initiatives

• Curiosity and willingness to explore complex financial questions and improve internal processes

• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment

• Experience with startup, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses is a plus

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: $102,000–$120,000 annually

• Full-time position

• Hybrid schedule based in Brooklyn, NY
