Our client, an Ecommerce food company offering products and content for the kitchen, is seeking in-house Counsel to join their growing team. Looking for a pro-active and versatile attorney to work in the Brooklyn office providing legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters. We are looking for a highly qualified Legal Counsel to oversee all legal aspects of the business.

Our client, an Ecommerce food company offering products and content for the kitchen, is seeking in-house Counsel to join their growing team. Looking for a pro-active and versatile attorney to work in the Brooklyn office providing legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters. We are looking for a highly qualified Legal Counsel to oversee all legal aspects of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with clients, vendors, and other parties.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents to support business activities.
- Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics including partnerships and ventures.
- Handle employment and human resources legal matters
- Give legal counsel on IP related matters
- Manage governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties including regulators and external counsel
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and terms and conditions
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders
- Provide clarification on legal language
- Conduct your work with integrity
- J.D. degree
- Bar admission in New York
- 6+ years legal experience working in house at an e-commerce company or in a law firm advising e-commerce companies.
- Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Outstanding communication skills
