The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Tier 1 and 2 support to end-users, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. In addition to desktop support, this role will also involve working with cloud services and Linux environments.
Responsibilities:
- Tier 1 and 2 Support:
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests from end-users in a timely and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing clear and concise instructions for issue resolution.
- Collaborate with other team members to escalate complex problems to higher-tier support as needed.
- Desktop and User Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
- Conduct training sessions to empower end-users and enhance their technical skills.
- Cloud and Linux Exposure:
- Gain hands-on experience with all three major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Assist in basic cloud maintenance tasks.
- Basic Linux server administration and maintenance tasks
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Help create technical documentation and manuals for end users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in providing Tier 1 and 2 support in an IT environment.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- Exposure to Linux environment is a plus.
- Basic scripting language skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
