Senior Full Stack SWE

Our client, a profitable, fast growing startup in the financial space, is looking for several product oriented full stack engineers to join their team. This is an onsite position, with 5 days per week in office (NYC based) with a base salary range of $150-$200K + benefits and equity. 

Responsibilities:

  • Full-Stack Development: Build well-structured, responsive, and high-performing web applications end-to-end
    • Craft intuitive, seamless user interfaces leveraging TypeScript, React, and contemporary frontend frameworks
    • Architect and develop robust APIs and backend solutions using Express, DynamoDB, and OpenSearch with security and performance as top priorities
    • Operate within AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Feature Planning: Partner with engineering and product teams to scope feature development, finding the right balance between business objectives, user needs, and long-term technical sustainability. You’ll own features from conception thru completion. 
  • Collaborative Code Review: Contribute actively to team discussions around architecture decisions, design approaches, and code quality
  • Maintain Code Quality: Produce clean, testable, and maintainable code across both frontend and backend, bringing consistency to diverse codebases and workflows

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of post-graduation software engineering experience, preferably in early-stage startups or high-velocity environments
  • Proven track record delivering highly reliable, available software systems utilizing our tech stack – Typescript / React / Node.JS / AWS cloud
  • Strong sense of ownership with clear communication habits and a tendency to over-communicate rather than under
  • First-principles thinking with design and UX awareness, able to implement from established design specifications
  • Preference for simplicity over complexity with strong instincts for sustainable, scalable solutions
  • Solid understanding of version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
  • Potential to positively shape our growing engineering team’s culture, values, and processes
