Our client, a prestigious private investment firm, is seeking an Accounting Associate.

The firm manages or advises $150bn of assets on behalf of more than 1,400 clients globally.

Job description:

Looking for an Accountant Associate to be part of the Corporate Finance team in midtown Manhattan reporting to the CFO/COO with the following abilities:

• Booking of journal entries in Quickbook

• Allocation to proper cost centers and invoicing

• Properly entering financial data in Group consolidation and Intercompany tools

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations

• Resolve errors/omissions and discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner

• Maintains appropriate records and documentation supporting analysis

• Assist with internal and external auditors’ requests

• Proficient with IT applications (Concur, Kyriba, Yooz or similar)

Required Skills:

• Must be diligent, detailed oriented, reliable, problem solver, resourceful, able to work independently and as a teammate

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced working knowledge of Excel and Quickbooks

• Must have a general knowledge of accounting reporting systems, operational processes and financial reporting requirements

• Strong analytical skills and ability to remain highly organized in a deadline driven environment while maintaining strict attention to detail

• Proficient with IT applications (Concur, Kyriba, Yooz or similar)

Profile

• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting

• 2-3 years of experience within a reputable accounting firm or Corporate Finance accounting team

• Familiar with working within international Group and across cultures

• Must be familiar with the Finance industry

• Work authorization in the U.S. is required
