People Operations Generalist
Our client, a prestigious organization in the Performing Arts, is looking for a People Operations Generalist to join their team! The role will start off remote, with potential to go hybrid in the future.

Salary: $30/hour, converting to 65k
Duration: Temp-to-perm; potential to convert at 6 month mark
Role Overview: An ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and passion for problem solving. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, People Operations and support the daily functions of the People Team, while enhancing the performance of our technologies. In this role, your duties will include optimizing the performance of our HRIS system, gathering, and auditing Payroll transactions, and addressing employee inquiries via our ticketing system.
We’re looking for someone who will support the People Team with refining and presenting actionable data. The ideal candidate should have experience working within ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and maintaining modules such as Time & Attendance. In addition, the candidate should have general HR experience with respect to People Operations and passionate about improving people experience and process efficiency.
This role is a 6-month contract with an opportunity for full-time conversion and will be a hybrid role requiring on-site support 1 to 2 times per week.
What you’ll get to do here:
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of People Operations transactions within ADP WFN including onboarding new hires, pay changes, and other related transactions
- Partner with our Payroll Team to document and track our weekly & biweekly payroll transactions HRIS
- Ensure the accuracy of data through routine audits and custom reports
- Apply energy, initiative, and collaboration to elevate each employee’s experience throughout their life cycle
- Serve as the first line of support to Lincoln Center employees whether on-site, over the phone, via email, and using our ticketing system Fresh Service
- Maintain People Operation’s Service Level Agreement within Fresh Service
- Responsible for updating and auditing ADP WFN modules; Time & Attendance, Onboarding, and Benefits
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the People Team
- Work with cross-functional teams to automate manual processes and develop workflows to enhance Manager Self-Service (MSS) and Employee Self-Service ESS) within the HRIS
- Provide training and documentation to the People Team and end-users
- Support compliance systems and data protection initiatives
- Process vendor payments and employment verifications
- Support ad-hoc assignments as assigned
You’ll be a fit if you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in either HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role, required
- Process oriented with a strong attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability working on projects requiring organizational and time-management skills, required
- Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF statements, conditional formatting, required
- Experience in documenting processes, performing diagnostic tests and audits
- Good judgement and a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity
- A team player who is able to work well in both a hybrid and virtual team environment
- Experience configuring and supporting ADP WFN Time and Attendance, highly preferred
- Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and manage confidential information
- Proficiency in database management and security, a plus
