T2P Payroll & HRIS Analyst
Our client, a marketing and advertising agency is seeking a Payroll & HRIS Analyst to join their NYC office. This person will be reporting directly to their Head of People and Culture and have a very close working relationship with the payroll and HRIS teams. The person in this role will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of full-cycle domestic multistate payroll for up to 400 employees.
Responsibilities
- Work with the HR and Payroll team to audit and approve the semi-monthly payroll for exempt, non-exempt and temporary employees
- Create monthly headcount analysis to be shared with HR and Finance
- Maintain the payroll and HRIS system(s) data integrity by accurately entering employee information and making updates
- Conducts benefit payroll audits including carrier feeds, open enrollment audits, etc.
- Submits and audits promotion data, departmental changes, manager changes and status changes processed in DayForce
- Approves W-4s and address changes in DayForce
- In conjunction with HR, works with Teams to ensure temporary employees are onboarded properly
- Utilizes the various HR systems to analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards and set deadlines
- Reviews project plans to forecast, communicate and coordinate project activity; Provide users with on-site technical support for HRIS training and issues
- Completes employment verifications for employees as needed, and obtains proper authorization from the employee when a release is required
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal customers relating to payroll and DayForce, and escalates issues to the global payroll team when necessary
- Responsible for maintaining the HR trackers and keeping them updated
- Remains up-to-date on payroll related and HR updates on a Federal and State level; Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Payroll experience in NYS preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Working knowledge of Dayforce, Ceridian or other payroll systems required;
- Ability to interact with internal and external clients at a variety of levels and across functions
- A sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
