BENEFITS AND HR COORDINATOR
A prestigious law firm in Midtown Manhattan is looking for a Benefits and HR Coordinator to administer the firm's healthcare benefits and provide assistance with Human Resources functions.
Benefits Responsibilities
· Work closely with the Benefits Manager and Benefits and Human Resources Specialist on all benefits related matters
· Assist in the administration of firm benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, FMLA, disability, workers’ compensation, flexible spending , commuter benefits, 401(k) and profit sharing)
· Preparation of monthly invoices for benefit plans
· Handle inquires, educate and provide clarification regarding questions about benefits or changes to existing plans
· Assist with annual open enrollment
· On boarding – create orientation packages, conduct new hire orientation
· Follow up with new hires prior to their benefits enrollment deadline
· Off boarding - handle the benefits portion of orientation and organize COBRA paperwork
Human Resources Responsibilities
· In conjunction with the Human Resources Generalist, conduct staff and attorney orientation
· Assist with annual Human Resources programs (i.e. Administrative Professionals Day)
· On an as needed basis, generate reports in ADP Workforce
· Assist with time and attendance reports
· Assists with staff performance evaluations and compensation reports
· Provide back-up support in the absence of the Human Resources Generalist
Skills and Requirements:
· A minimum of 3 years in a benefits role, preferably in a law firm environment
· Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
· Familiarity with creating VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
· Experience working in ADP Workforce or similar HRIS system
