Leasing Attorney
IN-HOUSE REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY
Our client, a real estate start-up that master leases buildings and converts them to "apart-hotels" is looking for an experienced Real Estate Associate with 2-8 years of commercial leasing, zoning, and land use experience to work in their headquarters in Midtown NYC. The firm has properties across the country, with plans for expansion.
The candidate must have experience including:
- Real estate and commercial transactions, including negotiation and drafting of commercial leases and lease amendments
- Analysis of zoning and land use codes related to rezonings, special permits, and variances
- Land use related legal issues
- Draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and customers
- Manage external counsel where appropriate
- Collaborate with fellow leaders, both within the group legal department and in the US business, to devise efficient and effective strategies for the provision of legal services to the business
Looking for candidates with strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, focus and attention to detail. Must be a self-driven and motivated. A combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred.
