Temporary Accounting Manager
Our client, an independent non-denominational seminary, is looking for an ongoing temporary Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, is proficient in Excel and ADP and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This role has an ASAP start date and will pay depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise A/P and Bursar staff
- Manage the annual audit
- Manage Fixed Asset software and prepare monthly entry to depreciate assets
- Handle unclaimed properties, reimburse payees uncashed checks, reconcile G/L
- Manage automated T&E expense reporting system
- Run monthly Financial Statements
- Prepare reporting for executive and board meetings
- Review all journal entries and approves all journal entries prior to posting
- Review the All funds report which a reconciliation of contributions
- Approve ACH and wire transfers
- Reconcile all non-cash Balance Sheet accounts in G/L, i.e. prepaids, accrued exp, foreign exchange accounts
- Close the G/L at year end to prepare to new fiscal year and roll all fund balances over
- Prepare journal entries for monthly/annual close
- Manage the 1099 and 109T tax form process
- Ad-hoc analysis
