Marketing Specialist
Our Client, a prestigious strategy consulting firm, is hiring a Senior Marketing Coordinator in their Atlanta office. The primary role is to help lead design and implementation of the ATL office's local alumni and marketing strategy, as well as other regional efforts. This will include client development support as well as provide strategic business office and human capital management support.
Key responsibilities
- Contributes to development of annual marketing and alumni plans for local office, working with Marketing Manager and Marketing Partner.
- Helps assess local marketing objectives and determine optimal mix of local marketing activities to meet them.
- Assists in overseeing alumni and marketing budgets.
- Assists in developing local marketing event calendar which includes appropriate mix of client-facing and alumni events and where relevant includes coordination with Global/Regional teams and Practice/Capability areas.
- Analyzes data to enable efficient management decision making. Monitor and report out on progress and results through key marketing/alumni metrics.
- Executes local marketing, practice area and alumni activities, on time and on budget, in collaboration with marketing manager, Marketing Partner and Executive Assistant (EA) group.
- Plans and executes local events creating event proposals, internal & external communications, invitation lists, attendee profiles, and post-event analysis reports. Selects venues, menus, gifts, and décor, negotiates contracts, and manages budget. .
- Oversees local mailings, coordinating with leadership team members and executive/administrative assistants to create and maintain recipient database and encouraging broader usage/distribution of company content.
- Serves as local expert on the companies global contact management system (CRM), training and trouble-shooting with local admin staff to ensure up-to-date, comprehensive data and providing reports and analysis on the company network on demand, to support business needs.
- Helps drive the local alumni relations program, transitioning outgoing employees into positive company promoters by maintaining local alumni database, orienting to alumni resources, planning & executing local alumni events and mailings, and submitting local content to global alumni website & newsletter.
- Liaises with global public relations team on local media activities, supporting local partners in PR interviews and responsibilities.
- Supports Partners’ relationship development and networking.
- Achieves expert status with marketing tools and helps partners apply to meet business objectives. Identifies gaps in offerings, opportunities for improvement.
- Works with senior management team to prioritize and gather relevant fact base on local companies and contacts, conduct media monitoring and provide suggestions of relevant company thought leadership to share.
- Helps facilitate bi-annual Partner 1:1s focused on driving individual marketing priorities as well as collective local office and global priorities.
- Works with Partners to develop and maintain digital profiles through website, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
- Works with local principals, managers and MAs to help management team cultivate relationships with key business contacts, primarily through contact management, client events, education and IP distribution.
- Helps Principals begin incorporating Marketing and relationship development strategies into their routine, helping to expand their network, strategically share company IP and POVs and develop their own personal brand as well as enhancing the broader company brand.
- Leads EA and MA Marketing engagement and support of leadership team marketing priorities.
- Oversees executive/administrative support Marketing and CRM training and onboarding as well as on-going refresher trainings and professional development.
- Serves as thought partner for helping to develop and document best practices for EA and MA marketing support.
- Serves as marketing contact for all local office employees. Communicate with staff periodically about value and impact of marketing and alumni activities, and the importance of brand consistency, to increase general participation and mitigate risks. Keep local website, marketing collateral, and office marketing materials library up to date.
- Implements new global alumni and marketing initiatives and contribute to their design by representing local office in regional and global marketing forums and sharing best practices.
- Provides support for on-going business and human capital operations for the Atlanta Office. Supports the Atlanta Office Head, Human Resources Partner, and business operations team on operational and human capital priorities. Activities could include helping to manage the Atlanta office staffing data management system, helping with headcount and capacity analysis, managing pyramid planning for the office, office meeting material preparation and planning.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or as responsibilities dictate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience, ideally with progressive responsibility in marketing- or event-related strategy and implementation
- Clear track record of demonstrating an at-cause mentality and proactively driving improvement across marketing services and processes
- Consistent track record of delivering strong results, including demonstrated ability to execute multiple projects at once
- Proven ability to drive issues to resolution and creatively solve problems, seeking out alternative solutions when running into roadblocks
- Ability to interact and represent the company professionally and effectively with top executives and their staffs internally and externally
- Outstanding organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong inter-personal skills and experience working in team environment
- Database management and analysis experience
