Human Resource Business Partner
Our client, a tech group focused on modernizing insurance processes, is hiring an HR Business Partner t head up the HR functions in this new office! This group is HQ'd in NYC and partners with providers + consumers in 40+ states. The vibe is progressive, forward-thinking, creative, and solutions-oriented, with the intent of taking THE best possible care of their customers/clients.
They're expanding into a new office in ATL, and will be bringing on this HR expert to support their rapidly-expanding team. This role reports into the VP of people, and will manage the recruitment process, onboarding, succession planning + employee relations for existing employees, and making sure the office remains a bright, engaging place to work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Empathetically and responsibly resolve employee relations matters in a timely matter
- Provide advice and coaching to managers regarding practices, policies, and employment laws
- Craft relevant training and development opportunities that keep our staff happy, motivated, and always learning
- Manage full cycle recruitment from identifying a need to offer acceptance, including managing job posts, coordinating interviews, running the offer process and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Manage on-boarding and off-boarding experiences, ensuring that the employee experience is incredible at every touchpoint
- Lead performance and compensation review processes, including delivering appropriate training and feedback for both managers and employees
- Partner with leadership to support the long-term growth of the Atlanta office, including developing career pathing, participating in organizational design, and forecasting staffing needs
- Process payroll, maintain accurate data in our PEO, and regularly report out relevant information to senior leadership
- Build upon a culture that aligns with our closely-held values
- Occasional travel to New York City will be required
Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects of varying scope
- Proven track record of scaling teams, in terms of recruitment and creating processes to support growth
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data, including experience with employee surveys, Google Apps, and other HR systems
- Experience coaching, training, and developing employees in a high performance culture
- Demonstrated ability to work within time constraints with limited resources; not afraid to innovate and challenge the status quo
- Experience working with non-exempt, hourly staff a plus
- PHR or HR Certification a plus
