VP of People

TITLE: VP of People / VP of Talent

Our client, a management consultants and advisors in the ESG (environmental, social, and governance) space, is looking to hire a VP of Talent. They are seeking a Human Resources professional with 10+ years of experience working in a fast growing company. Focus is on the talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, development of staff, implementation of policies and procedures, and creation of diversity initiatives. VP of People will serve to coach management, track promotions, create and  manage employee surveys and develop action plans for feedback, and handle conflict companywide.

Key Responsibilities:

•             Talent acquisition for senior roles

•             Manage bi-annual review process

•             Help develop future managers

•             Ensure consistent management, including through team transitions

•             Lead human capital initiatives

•             Manage spot bonuses

•             Assist with onboarding/learning and development

•             Lead  diversity and inclusion initiatives

•             Oversee  tracker/professional development structures for operations team

•             Lead review, exit/stay interviews

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.  Master’s Degree preferred.

Professional certification required. (SHRM, HRCI)

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, experience scaling and building an organization or startup

Experience working with a lean team, VP of People will supervise a recruiting associate 

Working knowledge of human resource principles, procedures and practices.

Effective communicator at all levels

Strong project management and analytical skills

High degree of business acumen and people acumen

Experience designing, developing, and driving learning and development solutions aligned to strategic priorities.

Exceptional written and oral communication and group presentation skills

Ability to effectively deal with multiple priorities, functions and activities.

Working knowledge and skill of basic business software, including word processing, spreadsheet and HRIS.
