HR Business Partner
Our client, a tech group focused on modernizing insurance processes, is hiring an HR Business Partner to head up the HR functions in their Atlanta office! This group is HQ'd in NYC and partners with providers + consumers in 40+ states. The vibe is progressive, forward-thinking, creative, and solutions-oriented, with the intent of taking THE best possible care of their customers/clients.
Reporting directly to the VP, People, with a dotted line to site leadership, the VP of Claims, you will be responsible for all-things-people, from on-boarding, to partnering with managers in the creation of career pathing, to create a great place to work.
What you will get to do:
- Empathetically and responsibly resolve employee relations issues in a timely manner
- Provide advice and coaching to managers regarding practices, policies, and employment practices & laws
- Craft relevant training and development opportunities that keep staff happy, motivated, and always learning
- Participate as a key member of the interview team for all site roles
- Manage on-boarding and off-boarding experiences, ensuring that the employee experience is incredible at every touchpoint
- Lead performance and compensation review processes, including delivering appropriate training and feedback for both managers and employees
- Partner with leadership to support the long-term growth of the Atlanta office, including developing career pathing, participating in organizational design, and forecasting staffing needs
- Partner with the broader People team, based in NYC, on site plan development and physical expansion needs. This may include things such as event planning, maintaining supplies in the office, greeting candidates and more.
- Build upon a culture that aligns with our closely-held values, including developing policies and employee guidelines from scratch as the company scales
- Occasional travel to New York City will be required. (Approx 10%)
What you will need:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects of varying scope
- Orientation towards business process improvement
- Experience successfully leading teams through frequent changes
- Proven track record of scaling teams and creating processes to support growth
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data, including experience with employee surveys, Google Apps, and other HR systems
- Experience coaching, training, and developing employees in a high performance culture
- Demonstrated ability to work within time constraints with limited resources; not afraid to innovate and challenge the status quo
- Experience working with non-exempt, hourly staff a plus
