Our client is a entrepreneur who created his own crypto hedge funds and is seeking a Chief of Staff to help him establish his business and keep him on track. The person will have significant input on important financial decisions related to the funds and will also be his right-hand person no matter what comes up. Though the title is Chief of Staff, candidates coming from COO backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze legal documents to help make important business decisions
• Possess industry knowledge on financial trends to inform aforementioned decisions
• Perform administrative duties (10% of the time) including calendar management, travel planning, expenses, and ad hoc ones as needed
• Various HR duties including most importantly building out the rest of his staff
• Travel alongside Executive on some global business trips
• Have a 24/7 mentality, making sure that nothing falls through the cracks even after hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree needed, MBA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff position or as a COO. If the former, person should have experience in the financial industry (particularly in private equity, venture capital, or working with high net worth individuals)
• Strong sense of urgency and desire to be in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle sensitive material for high net worth individuals
• No task below me mentality

Additional Details:

• The office is located at the southern tip of Manhattan at 199 Water St. and the person can work remotely pretty much as often as they want but when executive is in the office they should really be there as well. But okay to work from home other days
• Salary commensurate with experience but they have a 90K-150K range
• There would be roughly three long trips per year (about  weeks at a time) and could be internationally
