Project Manager - Level 1

Our client, a leader in building code consulting and municipal permit filing, is looking for a Project Manager - Level 1 (PM1) to join their awesome team in NYC. The PM1 is responsible for assisting Project Manager Level 2 (PM2) in all tasks required for the completion of a project from filing through sign offs. The PM1 learns all aspects of the job, ensuring continuity in the absence of the PM2.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with PM2, Filing Rep, and Project Coordinator to assist in planning, coordinate and lead project activities to ensure the attainment of objectives and schedules
  • Is the backup to the PM2, providing updates to relevant stakeholders on project milestones
  • Completes project deliverables and ensures quality control
  • Acts as the secondary point of contact on projects for all internal departments and is responsible for cross reviewing packages with PM2 before releasing submission to municipal agency
  • Update WAVE regarding receivables, service completions, pertinent project information notation and project updates
  • Reviews all new job folders and gathers all necessary information required for production of forms
  • Schedules appointments with Plan Examiners at various municipalities
  • Distributes approval packages, permits, variances, or municipality updates to contractors, clients, etc.
  • Notifies Production Manager and PM 2 of any issues with project
  • Circulates Request for Information for initial sign-off of applications and follows up with shareholders as necessary until process is complete
  • Atten project meetings and conference calls as needed to assist PM2

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of project management experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
