Our client, a prestigious plaintiff’s securities litigation law firm, is seeking a Claims Filing Manager to join their team of Financial Research Analysis professionals. We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with numbers, as you will leverage your claims filing and analytical skills while leading the firm’s internal claims filing process in close collaboration with external partners to provide a seamless experience for clients. You will also use your data analysis and research skills to provide valuable insights to the New Matters team.
Job responsibilities:
• Liaise with claims administrator vendors to process claims, in partnership with external claims filing providers
• Pull client investment portfolio data from custodial banks; Identify and fix errors in data
• Keep track of multiple settlements, along with associated details, timelines, and complex data
• Serve as the point of contact for claims and associated data with external vendors
• Provide back-up support to the Financial Analysis team in calculating losses in securities actions for clients and public holders of securities, and assisting with research and analysis of securities actions
Requirements:
• Securities class-action claims analysis and filing experience
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
• A knack and passion for working with complex data
• Excellent organizational skills and a professional and polished demeanor
• The ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Research and investigative skills
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Lexis, Thomson, SEC filings, PACER
• Ability to prioritize a workload effectively under the pressure of competing assignments
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
• At least 3-5 years of experience in claims analysis, filing and administration, including prior experience in securities class-action claims is required
• Familiarity with financial markets, public companies and stock exchanges
• Familiarity with calculating stock losses, especially related to Securities law is a plus
Work Environment:
• This is a full-time, exempt position based in New York City
• This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays required); 2 days work-from-home)
• All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• All employees must be vaccinated and boosted
Salary Range:
• $125,000 to $150,000
