Role: Senior Staff Software Engineer – Back End  
Location: Los Angeles, Irvine, NYC or Remote

Our client is in the forefront of ecommerce Entertainment and Event online ticket selling business and aiming to be the safest, most convenient way to offer a ticket to the millions of fans who browse our platform around the world. 

They are looking for Senior Staff Software Engineers to lead the development of these next-generation technologies and complex features that change how millions of users explore, interact with and participate in live events worldwide. As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will provide strategic direction for product and platform development in collaboration with several cross-functional teams across the organization. You will also work with Engineering Managers and Software Engineers to ensure the highest code quality and technical excellence.  

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader, innovator, mentor and advocate. It is key to operate from a place of empathy and inclusion, while maintaining a growth mindset and teaching colleagues how to do the same. Such leadership, along with strategic initiative, pragmatism and operational excellence are some of the core tenets of this role.? 
We would like to see someone who has:
10+ years of relevant work experience in software development 
2+ years leading a team, with proven ability coaching others and improving their technical capabilities  
Technical leadership on strategic projects that solve complex problems across many teams, with proven significant business impact 
Extensive experience in designing and developing robust, distributed systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#, Objective-C), with a proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools 
Collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally to build strategic, customer-centric business plans 
Demonstrated expertise in building software with one or more of the following: Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Mobile Application Development, Security, and Privacy 
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at StubHub, you’d be able to:
Provide technical strategic direction as you collaborate with multiple teams to design major services, frameworks, toolsets, and features 
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across StubHub's platforms and products with agility and resulting in high-quality outcomes. 
Help build and mentor a team of software engineers, championing process and culture improvements within the Engineering organization and increasing the team’s technical capabilities
