Unix Admin
This right candidate will be responsible for helping to develop automation tools, and supporting release-related software platforms. They will work closely with IT, Engineering and QA teams to understand and improve the release and support processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

- Develop scripts and automation to simplify everyday tasks
- Evaluate new and existing software/hardware and make recommendations (ie.: for security and SOX compliance)
- Support release-related software (Jira, Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise)
- Resolve technical issues across production systems (hardware and software, as well as cloud providers), participate in on-call rotation and contribute to ongoing system improvement projects
- Work with the team to produce deployment and implementation plans
- Maintain run books
- Analyze application and system configurations and adjust as needed via Puppet
- Help manage and support *NIX systems using common CLI tools
- Manage technical risks and resolve issues that affect release schedule and quality

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or similar is preferred
- 5+ years experience working with a team to manage Linux environments is REQUIRED
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools (such as Puppet)
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
- A working understanding of code and scripts (Perl, Ruby, PHP, shell)
- Comfortable with git or other VCS
- Knowledge of IT Operations best practices in an always-up environment
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
