Our client, a CPA Firm located in Mineola, NY, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. The firm specializes in accounting, tax, and business consulting services. They provide professional services for all types of businesses throughout a wide range of industries along with tax and accounting services for corporations, partnerships, trusts, not-for-profit entities, and individual clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Salary Range: 75-90K
Benefits: Retirement Plans, Disability insurance. Health insurance (dental, medical, vision)
Bonus pay (tax season and year-end)
Five days in office, Saturdays during tax season

They provide professional services for all types of businesses throughout a wide range of industries along with tax and accounting services for corporations, partnerships, trusts, not-for-profit entities, and individual clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries of transactions.
- Reconcile accounts to verify the accurate reporting of transactions.
- Review sales records, reimbursements, bank records and other relevant documents.
- Generate financial statements (such as reports of assets, liabilities, income statements and cash-flow statements).
- Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary & foundation tax returns.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales & payroll tax returns and tax projections.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting).
- 2+ years in Accounting, 2+ Public Accounting, preferred.
- Proficient with a computer software packages and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Prosystem fx and QuickBooks.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed and Saturdays (during tax season).
- Strong communication and people skills, both verbal and written.
