Tax Manager
Our client, an advertising agency is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team! They are looking for a highly driven tax manager to ensure that the company’s state and federal tax documents are prepared and filed in a timely manner, on both a domestic and international basis. The tax manager’s responsibilities include developing solutions for potential tax issues, keeping abreast of new developments in tax legislation, and informing staff of new legislative developments. You should also be able to advise on tax planning, tax research, and tax compliance.

Tax Manager Responsibilities:
- Accurately preparing and filing federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.
- Partnering with accounting firm on annual partnership filings; providing requested information and review of drafts
- Manage the Company’s international indirect tax /value added tax process for certain jurisdictions such as: compliance and reporting, outside vendors, and collaboration with Accounts Payable team to review indirect tax implications
- Maintain corporate state tax portals and work with payroll company to ensure filings for SUI, workers comp, paid family leave are up to date.
- Developing global tax strategies to assist in being tax-compliant.
- Manage compliance surrounding income and payroll tax obligations for the company both domestically and internationally.
- Completing responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
- Monitoring developments in tax legislation 1099 and freelancer management
- Manage Company good standing status across all entities
- Engage with operational, legal and accounting teams to identify foreign tax requirements to assist with setting up new entities/branches and implement tax processes on a going forward basis
- Sourcing and vetting payroll solution providers as company grows and expands
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant or similar role.
- The ability to work with different taxation software.
- Extensive knowledge of tax legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Sound problem-solving skills.
