Tax Manager, North America
TAX MANAGER, NORTH AMERICAS
Our client, a global leader in litigation finance, is looking for a Tax Manager to assist the Global Head of Tax in managing tax compliance, yearend reporting and tax related projects for the North American region. In this newly created position, you will add tax support to the finance team and partner with the business to support decision making.
Key role responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation of tax provision for the half year and year-end tax calculations and tax disclosures for the group.
• Manage and oversee compliance work for all the US and Canadian entities including reviewing Federal and state returns and assisting in preparation of internal files.
• Building and maintaining proactive relationship with internal stakeholders and partnering with business to support in decision making.
• Manage and prepare Canadian GST and HST returns.
• Asist global head of tax in managing tax risks for the region.
• Liaise with external tax advisors on tax related matters.
• Liaise with external investors on tax related requests
- Conduct research on tax and regulatory requirements.
• Manage tax related projects for the group.
Office Location: NY, LA, or San Francisco
Salary Range: 135-175K based on experience
Years of experience: 4-5 years’ experience in corporate tax ideally gained from Big 4 or large 2nd tier accounting firms
BA required, CPA a plus
Extensive knowledge of US tax legislation and familiarity with Canadian tax compliance
