We are hiring on behalf of our client, hair products company, based in Jersey City, NJ. They manufacture, market, and sell shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and temporary hair color in the United States. They are an independent business with a startup culture.

The Graphic Designer role will work alongside a team of approximately 10 people with various roles contributing to the development of hair products. The ideal candidate will be creative, detail oriented, and enjoy working with a team. This position will work directly with the marketing director.

Job Description:

• Creation of design solutions, from concept to completion, in a wide range of graphic and package applications including collateral/sales materials, package graphics, brand identity
• Presents visual solutions to the marketing team and helps communicate strategies behind design ideas and executions.
• Act as the resource manager to help keep projects on track.
• Establish and maintain visual identity of the brand by developing all creative, reviewing all creative proposed by marketing
• Create visuals including GIFs and video for newsletters, monthly website updates, collection launches.
• Color-correct and edit images for each launch as needed.
• Develop and maintain brand guidelines for creative use.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art/Design
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Mac platform experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of both print production and retail shopping dynamics.
• Ability to meet multiple project deadlines (and diplomatically enforce deadlines) Perform with professionalism in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player.
